Do you have a Facebook Business Page?
Do you know how to customise it so that you can optimise your Facebook Page for lead generation?
If you’ve been searching for ways you can use Facebook to generate leads and attract people to your website, have you road-tested your Facebook Page tabs?
I’ve been customising Facebook Business Pages for my own businesses as well as for clients’ for about 3 years now. Much has changed in that time, but Facebook remains a brilliant tool for building relationships with prospective clients and enticing them into your content marketing cycle (by funnelling them into your mailing list and website).
If you’re new to Facebook Marketing you may not know about Facebook Page tabs, so I thought it would be helpful to show you two brilliant tools that make lead generation easy: Shortstack and GroSocial.
Firstly, though, I wanted to give you a quick tour of my Facebook Page tabs on the Content Marketing Cardiology Page to show you just what you can do! Here’s a quick video.
Shortstack is a terrific tool for creating customised page tabs on Facebook. Their interface is extremely easy to use and they have an abundance of themes and templates you can use to create anything from promotions and contests to mailing list subscriber forms and games.
If you simply want to feature a page from your website, all you need to do is cut and paste the URL into the iframe field:
GroSocial does not have the variety of templates that Shortstack has but it does have a few unique features that make it a stand out app for Facebook lead generation.
You can add a wide variety of social share buttons to any page you create.
You can easily run photo contests and the like, and one of the best features is that you can connect your Grosocial account to your mailing list account.
Infusionsoft acquired Grosocial earlier this year and as I have an Infusionsoft account, I can segment my mailing list recipients from Facebook by employing Infusionsoft’s unique tag system.
The Appointment Request tab, Course Tab and Mailing List tabs featured on the demo video above, were all done using different Infusionsoft contact tags. So, rather than prospective clients landing on the one mailing list, they can be segmented according to their behaviour and specific needs. This is a very cool feature that other Facebook Page apps do not have.
There are some other fantastic features as well. GroSocial enables you to create and schedule Facebook cover images, meaning you can rotate your images on a frequent basis. You can also do the same with Twitter background images.
Another brilliant feature is that you can schedule posts to your social platforms from GroSocial and look for hashtags and keywords on content you may want to reshare. This feature alone makes it competitive with platforms such as Hootsuite and Buffer.
How do they compare?
Pricewise, Shortstack is definitely more affordable if you have multiple pages to manage and loads of “likers”. However, GroSocial will not break the bank if you only have one page to maintain. GroSocial charges per page you manage but you can always pass these costs on to clients if you manage others’ pages.
Of course, there are other applications on the marketplace that provide excellent features for Facebook Page tabs, but I’ve featured these ones because I’ve used them both (and liked them both).
