I am a mum, wife, political activist, and carer of a child with a disability. I have had a rewarding career in arts and tourism marketing and public relations in my past life but now enjoy raising my family, writing, public speaking and campaigning for maternity services reform. I am a feminist who believes that there is power and influence in my role as parent and as mother. I am the current editor of Birth Matters Journal, immediate past president of Maternity Coalition (www.maternitycoalition.org.au) and co-founder and National Spokesperson for Caesarean Awareness Network Australia (www.canaustralia.net).
